Tim Mayer has launched a detailed consultation document on Mobility which contains a clear vision-to-action plan for FIA Member Clubs worldwide.
FIA Presidential candidate Tim Mayer has unveiled FIA Forward’s Mobility Roadmap with the clear message that inclusive, safe, sustainable mobility is a universal right. The document highlights that a single approach will not suit everyone, and that tailored programs are required for both large and emerging clubs. For smaller or emerging clubs this means, for example, the expansion of grants, training, and mentorships, while for larger clubs it might include support, advocacy and visibility on topics of major impact.Tim Mayer:“Mobility is about access, dignity and opportunity. The FIA must help member clubs thrive, supporting core functions for membership while delivering value to grow their businesses. With a Mobility Equity Framework, we’ll prioritize underserved clubs and deliver practical tools to help clubs grow and shape their national mobility agendas. We will work with the FIA Foundation to deliver a legacy of safety and human dignity.
“To serve our Clubs effectively, the FIA must be ready to face the global mobility challenges confronting them today. We must be the integrator of cross-sector collaboration between Sport and Mobility and use shared resources. We will be fostering real partnerships with teams, drivers and stakeholders to communicate critical FIA and Member Club messages on innovation, road safety, sustainability, affordability and access to mobility to a truly global audience. “
We will further develop the tourism services that are so valuable for many clubs, so that the services are meeting the demands of club members in the coming years.”
FIA Forward’s Mobility Roadmap revolves around five key pillars of support for Member Clubs:
