Power without brakes: Report slams FIA's unhealthy concentration of power and lack of accountability

The Utrecht School of Governance, an institution of global repute in sports governance, has released a report on the FIA using the Sports Governance Observer benchmark to assess its standing alongside the major sports federations. The FIA scores low on matters of transparency, accountability and governance: in particular the report highlights the concentration of power towards the incumbent which leads to an unfair electoral process.

The Executive Summary is aptly titled “Power without Brakes.”
